The idea
The Festival is organised by the Rochdale Town Centre Management Company, a not for profit organisation set up to positively promote Rochdale town centre.
The event offers live music from big name acts on the main stage located within the grounds of the beautiful Grade 1 listed Rochdale Town Hall, providing a stunning backdrop to the festival. Notable artists to appear at the festival in previous years have included Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Beat and Jesca Hoop. The Festival also holds a Battle of the Bands competition giving local bands the chance to open the Festival.
The Festival showcases live cookery demonstrations in the Feel Good Kitchen from some of the worlds best known celebrity chefs including Gino Di Campo, Jean Cristophe Novelli and Brian Turner, along with a food village offering alfresco dining and a vibrant outdoor market. In addition, there are a wide range of activities for children including Bugs, Bees & Beasties, facepainting and fairground rides.

Why it's a great idea
The Feel Good Festival showcases Rochdale at its best and offers something for all ages and backgrounds to enjoy. Last year the Festival attracted over 10,000 people into Rochdale town centre on the Saturday alone.
The event helps to improve perceptions of Rochdale town centre and supports local businesses and the local economy.
Here is what some of our Facebook supporters had to say about last year’s Festival:
“The atmosphere last year was one of optimism and fun. I think it gave a boost to all that attended, and helped raise the profile of Rochdale, which for sure needs it.”.
Stuart Hanmer
“I live in Bradford and have been to the Feel Good Festival for the last 3 years, each year I've brought more friends and family with me. We really look forward to it and it’s a great way to end the summer holidays. Love it”!
Becki Bower
“Me, my friends and family, young and old have had a fantastic time at each festival. Best thing to happen in Rochdale. Would be a crime to loose it”!
Karl Nation
