Our Scout Hut was built in the 70's by the Scouts, Leaders and families themselves, it is now time to replace our decayed roof and make much needed renovations, including better access and more.

Leaders and other members of Scouting have spent the past number of years working so very hard on top of the volunteer hours they already give trying to raise funds for the roof on our hut and to make other much needed modernisations and access for all. However we are still very short of the funds needed and with not being able to run events over the past 2 years this hasn't changed. Whilst we are doing everything we can to raise the money ourselves, support with this and to ensure we can achieve the additional modernisations after the new roof is essential. We currently have 5 scouting and one guide section using the hut, from ages 4-18 years, and hope that if we can get the hut to a more usable level to be able to offer the hut for use by more people within our community which isn't possible right now due to lack of facilities and for example insufficient drainage, we would also love to make our hut greener.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Benefits to the wider community outside Scouting by being able to let others utilise a great building and location. Enabling Scouting to continue as strong as ever within Horton kirby. Making Scouting even more accessible to all, especially those with disabilities.
