The idea
During this difficult time, our Support Workers are continuing to provide support in person to those who need it most when going through their recovery journey.
In order to make sure we can keep supporting our community in a safe manner, we are looking for public support to ensure our Support Workers are able to have access to full Personal Protective Equipment, such as masks and gloves.
The cost for us to be able to fully kit out one support worker for one month is £120, and with 70 members of staff currently working hard on the front-line this racks up to £8,400 monthly.
In this uncertain time, vulnerable people dealing with drug and alcohol addiction require the support we offer.
Any support for our work is greatly appreciated, and if you would like to help us to make sure our workers and the service users they deal with directly are being treated in the safest of ways any donations towards the PPE would be fantastic.
What we'll deliver
- Providing PPE to our front-line Support Workers
Why it's a great idea
Isolation can be a trigger for relapse for individuals going through drug and alcohol recovery.
We provide vital support in our centres to aid them through their recovery and to ensure they are being as safe as possible.
Due to the nature of the services we offer and the current condition of the COVID-19 lockdown, providing our front-line workers with protective gear means this essential support can continue in a safe manner.
Steps to get it done
