The idea
We have seen serious damage to our sports pitch due to regular usage over years of play. This has become a health and safety concern that will get to a stage of no longer being safe to play on.
The project seeks to remove our existing turf, replacing this with a brand new premium quality Astro.
Sport unites individuals from all backgrounds, our pitch is used for multi-sport activities to incorporate all children and explore their interests. Key life skills of leadership, communication and problem-solving are so often tackled on this pitch, it has become a source of development, past just the enjoyment of the sport. Countless examples have seen such enjoyment continue into secondary school, many reaching competitive levels.
The pitch is primarily used by SEAPIA and Langford Primary school. External organisations also hire the space, all funds raised go back into supporting our charity.
Undoubtedly sport brings our community together, we'd love for this to continue.
