Outdoor Classroom - bring learning alive

To create an outdoor classroom and sensory planting for the students of Scoil Eoin School for children with Mild General Learning Difficulties Crumlin Dublin 12.

The idea

Our wooden pergola style outdoor classroom project is a community intitiative, lead by the schools new parent guardian council and helped by Crumlins mens shed and we hope Dublin City Council and some local businesses.
A world of learning opportunities for our 165 students comes with this initiative.
36-40 Square Metre wooden pergola with decking, seating and solar lighting surrounded by planting of additional trees and raised beds at the front of our Primary School.
A hero board will thank our sponsors with wooden engraved hearts and stars frm our woodwork students .

  • Wooden Thank You hero signs to sponsors from our woodwork classes

Why it's a great idea

Creating a unique outdoor learning space for 165 children with mild general learning difficulties to bringing lessons alive for years to come or to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Our children learn by doing and this project will deliver an interactive lesson on sustainability, plants, design, solar power and fun of the outdoors.

  • Launching our classroom and awarding Hero engraved wooded stars to our sponsors and volunteers
