Neston Civic Hall requires repairs and small refurbishment jobs to ensure the building remains open for community use. Funds raised would pay for these repairs and purchase materials for decoration.
Neston Civic Hall is a much loved community asset, NCYC Ltd have been operating Neston Civic Hall since 2022 and have faced ongoing repair issues resulting in us having to close the building temporarily on a number of occasions. The roof requires several patch repairs to prevent leaks and ensure we can keep the building open. We have a team of volunteers who are offering to help with small internal repairs and decoration to make the building more appealing for its users. We are focusing on minor works to keep the building operational ahead of an application for funding for a full refurbishment.

In a 2022 survey 95% of respondents stated they felt that Neston Civic Hall was essential to our community. Since taking over the operation of Neston Civic Hall we have seen many organisations and clubs return to use the hall and it is also regularly hired for private events and activities. Unfortunately due to ongoing issues with the building we have had to temporarily close on several occasions. This project would enable us to respond quickly to repairs as they occur, reducing the chances of the building shutting temporarily whilst funds are raised, reduce length of time the hall is closed for whilst fixing repairs and reducing any disruption to its users. This project would enable us to patch repair the roof as leaks occur and carry out some minor internal decoration whilst we work toward a funding application for a full refurbishment

VolunteerNCYC is the Neston based charity that delivers and supports services for local people. Our mission is that everyone in our community is able to live health, fulfilled and connected lives.
We also operate Neston Community Youth Centre and Neston Civic Hall
There has been a community owned building on the site of Burton Road since 1964. Originally a Youth Centre, providing activities for children and young people, the old building eventually fell into disrepair and was demolished in 2004. Local community leaders worked with Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council to redevelop the site into a multi use community facility that could be used all day, every day.
?The building has been open since January 2007 when the new charity was formed. Since then the offer within this building has developed to include the provision of a Job Centre, Children's Centre, Foodbank, Citizens Advice access point and the charity has developed alongside it. The charity delivers a range of services including a befriending service, social prescribing service, community cinema and supports many of the much loved community events including Neston Ladies Club Day, Neston Village Fair, The Big Lunch, Neston Earth Festival and Christmas Lights Switch on and Lantern Parade.
?In January 2022, the charity signed a lease with Cheshire West and Chester Council to take over the operation of Neston Civic Hall, the home of Neston Flicks, bringing a much loved community asset back to life having been closed for almost two years.
We want to continue to manage this community asset and plans for the future include an application for funding for a complete refurbishment including a new roof but until we reach this point we need to raise funds to carry out patch repairs and smaller internal maintenance repairs so that the building remains safe and open for community use.
