We are a parent-led project aiming to transform our much-loved but now dated village playground into an exciting space for children and their families to enjoy.
Our playground is showing signs of its age and is in need of updating. After asking children in Naunton what they would most like to see in the playground a team of local parents has come together to improve this vital village resource. New playground equipment will allow children to explore, socialise and learn through play, while a picnic area, nature area and woodland trail will breathe new life into the playground for the benefit of the whole community.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It has never been more important to support the mental and physical health and wellbeing of our youngsters. Children need safe, appealing spaces where they can connect with their peers and the outdoors, take exercise and have fun! Improvements to Naunton’s playground will ensure it is a happy, stimulating place where children can develop and families can relax and socialise. Thank you for helping us!

Naunton Parish Council would like to invite you all the celebrate the opening of the new playground. Sunday 24th April 10:30-12:00 The major work has all been completed and we would be delighted if you and most importantly children / grandchildren would come and join us to celebrate the new playground. It will be a great opportunity for locals to meet other families and test the new facilities. You may even like to bring a picnic lunch. We look forward to seeing you there. Naunton Parish Council
Thanks to the amazing generosity of the village and other local donors as well as successful funding bids we're delighted to announce that we've reached our fundraising goal to improve the playground. Safety fencing and gates will be installed from 4th October and work on the playground equipment will start the week beginning 11th October with an estimated completion date of the end of the month. The playground won't be closed during the works but areas under construction will be roped off so please use your common sense if using the playground in the coming weeks including half term. We're so grateful for all the support we've had for the project. In the spring we hope to develop a nature area and woodland trail and will be looking for volunteers young and old to help us - watch this space for more details!
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
