Teams from local schools will be invited to participate in a fun, challenging fitness event like no other! There will be plenty of heavy lifting, fast running and teamwork in order to compete. A mix of tyre flips, kettlebells and other interesting weights will be incorporated to make the event fun and memorable. Before the event there will be speakers with an ex-offenders background talking about relevant issues we current face. The gaol will be to inspire and motivate children whom have a history of behavioural difficulties particularly those on the froth of making poor decisions with there future.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
There's a real sense of divide amongst young people within London communities at the moment. Children feel let down by the government and they are also fighting to compete with each other and using violence as their voice. Knife crime is a recored highs and police on the streets is record lows. This is an opportunity to bring young people together and have them hear from ex-offender who are now rehabilitated. There's an opportunity to inspire and motivate some of these children as well as educate them on the importance of fitness for physical and mental well-being.
Steps to get it done:
The event will be held in King's Cross. Based outside but under a huge Canopy where I hold my MW5 Bootcamp Classes. King's Cross is a fantastic new area and an inspiring environment to be around. It's easily accessible from most areas and I think this could be a huge project with many benefits for young children and there teachers.
