Crowdfund Lancashire gives anyone a chance to create local culture and sport projects and support the projects which matter most to them. Anyone can contribute towards their community by chipping in as little as £2 to help bring ideas to life. If it matters to our communities, it matters to Lancashire County Council, who will support eligible projects with a pledge from the £500,000 Lancashire Culture & Sport Fund (LCSF). If you have an idea that will improve the culture or sport offer in your community, you could get up to £15,000 towards your target.

Next Level Games
Next Level Games joined Crowdfund Lancashire2 days ago

Our project will deliver a free four-week summer sports tournament programme for young people in Preston who are most affected by the cost-of-living crisis. Running throughout the school holidays, the project will provide daily structured sports sessions that build towards weekly tournaments and celebration events. Activities will include skills challenges, small-sided games and inclusive competitions designed for all abilities. The programme will use a youth work-led approach to support confidence, teamwork, resilience and wellbeing, while offering a safe and positive space during a period when affordable provision is limited. Food will be provided, and young people will receive medals and certificates to recognise participation and achievement. By removing financial barriers, increasing activity during the summer holidays and offering consistent engagement, the project will help reduce inactivity, prevent disengagement and support families facing financial pressure.

Thornton-Cleveleys Gala 2026
Thornton-Cleveleys Gala 2026 joined Crowdfund Lancashire2 days ago

Continuing a tradition established in 1898, this year Thornton-Cleveleys Gala day will take place on Saturday 13th June 2026, featuring the parade through the town, the crowning of the Gala Queen and fun-fair. We would like to reintroduce an event that was part of the Gala's heritage and will support the community in coming together in our sports events that will extend the Gala day to a Gala Week this year. Our sports event will cover children that attend not only the local schools within Thornton but the children who are home schooled and are normally marginalised when it comes to competitive events. We are also adapting all events to ensure that children with SEN needs are able to participate. We will host our Sports event on the Thursday prior to Gala Day and our Football event on the Saturday of Gala Day and the Sunday after Gala Day. We will also be hosting an adult tug of war competition on Gala Day to ensure we cover all aspects of our community.

Bowland Champion Species Podcast
Bowland Champion Species Podcast joined Crowdfund Lancashire2 days ago

I will engage with 4 local schools to create 14 mini podcasts about the champion species of the Forest of Bowland. These are birds, plants, insects and animals that are struggling to survive in the national landscape. They were chosen as part of a plan to improve nature in the area (a Nature Recovery Plan) and are easily identifiable yet represent the elements of nature most at risk to changes taking place due to climate breakdown, development and land use changes. The Forest of Bowland national landscape team have produced a series of badges, postcards and posters beautifully illustrated by a local artist, and these are sold to raise funds for nature recovery work. We will run a schools engagement programme, with 4 schools: 2 in Bowland and 2 in nearby towns; 2 primary and 2 secondary. The schools will be offered training and resources to inspire the children to research, visit and produce work that celebrates their chosen champion species. Burnley ViewPoint: Hidden Stories of Burnley
Burnley ViewPoint: Hidden Stories of Burnley joined Crowdfund Lancashire2 days ago

Burnley ViewPoint is a community-led magazine platforming the real stories of Burnley and the people who shape it. Managed by Burnley Words Festival and supported by a small team of local volunteer editors and writers, the online magazine has been live for a year. This project will create a new 24-page printed edition focused on 10 previously untold stories – from community volunteers and local changemakers to people who have relocated to Burnley and are building lives here. We will commission a local early-career designer to produce the magazine. We will run professional journalism workshops for 15 participants, working with partners including Down Town and Burnley College to encourage new voices. We will nurture and support local writers in their talent development. 1,000 free copies will be distributed through libraries, cafés, colleges and community spaces across Burnley.

🏉 Inclusive Walking Touch Rugby for Wellbeing
🏉 Inclusive Walking Touch Rugby for Wellbeing joined Crowdfund Lancashire2 days ago

We aim to enhance our walking rugby initiative for individuals aged 45+, ensuring inclusivity while promoting physical activity, social connections, and mental wellbeing. Operating over 39 weeks annually, the sessions are entirely free for the local community and tailored to accommodate varying ages, abilities, and mobility levels. Our priority is to recruit more females and participants aged 65+, building on the nearly 100 individuals already engaged across Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre. Our Warton programme collaborates with Streetwise to offer enriching post-session activities, such as weekly coffee chats and a cooked brunch every six weeks. To encourage new participation, we’ll create marketing materials and host taster sessions and family-friendly activities at Fleetwood Rugby Club’s summer fun day. Additionally our 'Forward Pass' initiative, developed with walking rugby participants, redistributes new/used sports gear to children & families in need to ensure accessibility.

Brass at the seaside: Save our festival!
Brass at the seaside: Save our festival! joined Crowdfund Lancashire2 days ago

"Brass at the Seaside" is now in is 6th year and has become a well loved annual event. Previous funding is no longer available and the future of the festival is uncertain. A festival like no other in Lancashire, we take over the Bandstand in St Annes for a weekend in July, providing free entertainment to the local community and Visitors. Creating performance opportunities for young musicians to play alongside more experienced ones whilst enriching the local area. Enhanced by workshops on the Mobile Music vehicle, where experts help members of the public to play a wide variety of Brass instruments. With no age limits, last years oldest participants were a couple in their 80's and the youngest just 3! Led by experts from Lancashire music service and volunteers from FLCE, the event brings the promenade to life via the underused Bandstand giving extra meaning to a day at the seaside. The impact is clear and our feedback shows the impact the impact the event has on all involved.

Our project focuses on improving access to sport for young people in our community. By training additional coaches, we aim to expand our capacity and form new teams, offering greater opportunities for engagement. As a not-for-profit football club operating in an area of high deprivation, we are dedicated to reinvesting any surplus funds back into the club to enhance and upgrade our facilities. With over 50 years of service to the local community, we are committed to fostering a positive environment where young people can thrive, develop skills, and enjoy the benefits of teamwork and physical activity.
