Crowdfund Lancashire gives everyone a chance to create and support local culture and sport projects which matter most to them, while enabling everyone to contribute towards their community - chipping in as little as £2 to help bring ideas to life. If it matters to our communities, it matters to Lancashire County Council, who will support eligible projects with a pledge from the new £500,000 Lancashire Culture & Sport Fund (LCSF). If you have an idea that will improve the culture or sport offer in your community, you could get up to £20,000 towards your target. To take part in the first funding round, pitch to the fund and launch your crowdfunding campaign on Spacehive by 1st February 2023.

Art by Preston people, for Preston people! This project aims to show the brilliant, diverse talent of the people of Preston. At a time when there are no accessible exhibitions - which can be viewed at any time of the day - on display in Preston, this project aims to bring art and culture to the people of Preston. Money raised will be spent on printing of the artworks (standard size A0) and for their installation. A producer will be paid to co-ordinate the project, find suitable spaces to hang the artworks, administer printing process and manage the call-out for artists who apply to have their work put on display.

We’re a group of men over 35 who use football to promote mental and physical wellness. We’ve got people who’ve survived suicide, people in recovery from Eating Disorders, people who struggle with Anxiety, Neuro Diverse people and people who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We meet weekly to play football but we want to increase our sessions to twice a week, any funds would keep the cost as low as possible to our participants.

Wellbeing Wednesdays

As a volunteer group we are well placed to respond to the changing needs of the families we support, and the emergence of our Wellbeing Wednesdays are a result of this. Many of our families are experiencing emotional burnout. We find that our parent cares are uncomfortable talking in a support group and would rather be active. We will visit a local café to provide an opportunity to chat together while enjoying the comfort of food. Our essential items will be offered in a social setting, providing snacks and company. There will be a range of high cost household goods such as Washing Powder, Personal Hygiene and Cleaning Products. We will also have a selection of seasonally themed items to enhance the event.

Improved community cricket for all
Improved community cricket for all joined Crowdfund Lancashire17 hrs ago

Tarleton Cricket Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club. It has grown from providing cricket facilities for mainly men into an organisation that is used by all sections of the local community. We provide activities for children from age 5 upwards. The last four years has seen the formation of a thriving women and girls section. The club also maintains its four regular senior cricket teams and these now regularly have women players. The additional use of the ground for hard ball, soft ball, kwik cricket, coaching and sports camps have taken their toll. The club has taken the decision to invest in capital work to enable further growth in numbers and to maintain a high standard for current activity. The proposed works are as a result of a survey and plan drawn up by external professional advisors.
