The idea
At times like these, cricket moves a long way down the list of priorities. However, with no income from subs and social functions we are requesting financial support to help cover the costs and expenditure of utility, insurance and maintenance of both the square and outfield throughout the summer or until cricket can resume.
Cricket is a game for everyone and we know that our Club can play an important role in bringing the community together when we eventually come through this current situation.
What we'll deliver
- Help pay for critical overheads cost during COVID-19 crisis
- Maintain the square and outfield throughout the Summer
- Ensure insurance and utility costs are paid
Why it's a great idea
Sport and recreation clubs like Morebath Cricket Club are not just about competition we represent the hub of rural community life, building stronger, active and healthier communities. In addition we help protect open spaces, whilst promoting and developing sport that can be enjoyed by the entire community.
With no similar facilities existing in the local area it is important to help clubs like Morebath Cricket Club to survive this difficult and challenging period.
The Club will continue to encourage and attract players and also inspire the younger generation to take up the game, and ensure there is a place for the whole community to come together once this is all over.
