The idea
At the end of last season we acquired some additional land on the wooded side of the ground. The vision is to create a throwdown area with three artificial short lanes to compliment the net facilities already available at the club. Works started at the end of last season to clear the area and the plan was to continue this work in the spring to be available for use during the 2020 season. However, due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty as to when cricket will resume we have to safeguard the clubs financial position and unfortunately this project has been put on hold. We already have much of the materials required for the facility including artificial matting, netting and poles for the structure. We are therefore hoping to secure sufficient funds through crowd funding to procure the remaining materials to complete the ground works.
What we'll deliver

- Area to store covers off the field of play during matchs
Why it's a great idea
With our expanding junior membership we recognised that we need additional facilities to allow greater flexibility and coaching opportunities for both the junior section and senior players alike. The additional area will also offer a safe contained area to store the covers during matches.
