The idea
Our facilities are often unused during the week so we want to open them up to the local homeless community. They will be able to play sport, have access to hot showers and hot food, use the washing facilities at the club and access partner organizations and their professional staff members.
We will also operate a clothes bank when we can, as well as offering free tickets for Margate and Canterbury FC home league games.
What we'll deliver
- We will run 1 drop in session per week for at least 1 year
- We will help at least 50 homeless people across Thanet
Why it's a great idea
We will support homeless people to find relevant accommodation.
We will run sports sessions to support physical and mental health.
We will offer access to hot showers.
We will offer hot meals at each session.
We will offer vital support via our partner organizations including health support.
We will offer access to washing and drying facilities in our kit room.
We will support people into work via training courses delivered by partner organizations.
Steps to get it done
