The idea

Maidstone Borough Council has launched “Maidstone Cares” crowdfunding appeal to support organisations that are helping our most vulnerable residents during the Coronavirus crisis.

So many residents are already helping and supporting neighbours, family and friends and we are really appreciative of this.

Here you can help your community by donating to provide additional support to those most in need.

Please give generously so we can help as many people as possible.

What we'll deliver

Support for foodbanks who are providing food for families and individuals who need support across the Borough

Support for Involve who are providing befriending and other support to vulnerable residents

Support for the Heart of Kent Hospice

Why it's a great idea

The money raised will ensure foodbanks have enough food to feed families and individuals who may go without as this crisis continues. The charity organisations support through befriending services for those who are isolated and alone.

Steps to get it done

Run and promote crowdfunding campaign

Purchase food supplies

Provide financial support to voluntary organisations who are working across our Borough

It is really sad that we have to tell you that despite all your help and support we are unlikely to meet our target of £10k for the Maidstone Cares charity appeal. We know you tried really hard and are extremely grateful for everything you did to help us in trying to raise for some of our amazing local charities most affected by Covid19. Unfortunately, as we didn’t raise the target no funds will be collected for the organisations and your pledge will not be taken from your bank account.
