The idea
Team Oasis is a dedicated inclusive children’s charity based in South Liverpool, committed to empowering children and young people of all abilities, along with their families. Serving over 350 participants each week, we focus on fostering a sense of belonging and community in an area facing significant poverty and deprivation.
Our proposed environmental and ecological learning project aims to teach children and families vital skills in growing their own fruits and vegetables, as well as preparing and cooking healthy meals. For families living in poverty, this initiative is crucial. Not only does it promote self-sufficiency, but it also encourages healthy eating habits and instills a sense of pride and accomplishment.
With the lease on a perfect parcel of land, Team Oasis is poised to make this vision a reality. However, we need support to deliver the project effectively. Funding for a portacabin, containers, portable toilets, machinery, tools, workwear, planters, soil, and plants wil

Why it's a great idea
Our environmental and ecological learning project is an exhilarating opportunity ! Picture a vibrant space where children and young people engage in hands-on activities—planting seeds, nurturing gardens, and learning to grow their own fruits and vegetables. This project is not just about education; it's a celebration of nature and sustainability, infused with the joy of play. Every session will be dynamic and varied, combining learning with fun, ensuring that all are excited to participate. As they dig in the soil, they'll cultivate not only plants but also friendships and life skills that empower them to make healthier choices. For families living in poverty, this initiative is essential, providing resources and knowledge that promote self-sufficiency and well-being. Creating an inspiring environment where creativity flourishes and environmental stewardship is embraced. This project will be a cornerstone of hope and resilience, transforming lives and nurturing a brighter future.
