Why it's a great idea

This project will benefit both the Younger & Older Generations within Linthwaite & the wider Colne Valley Community.

It will help the Bowling Club achieve & complete task, they've been unable to complete due to lack of funding. This will improve their facilities & help with the overall running costs, benefiting their members & futureproofing their club.

It will also help the Football Club by having access to facilities for both Male & Female players/coaches/spectators to use toilets, ensure their warm clothing remains dry in wet winter months. It's also provides them with a safe space before, in between & after their matches / training.

The Club house can also be used to hold Community Events & Fun Days for both clubs. This will ensure the Club House & Facilities remain accessibly & usable for future generations. It will also be a great showcase of generations working together to achieve the goal of helping the wider community.

Steps to get it done

  • Creating a working group of Volunteers from both Sports Clubs to begin the project

  • Helping reduce the clubs carbon footprint & electricity usage.
