Why it's a great idea
It is our aim to increase physical activity, especially within our inactive groups. We will ensure that easy access to exercise is available for all in the local community via a brand they can connect with and feel proud of. We aim to do this by delivering free outdoors group exercise classes by exercise professionals who live locally, our classes are suitable for all ranging from Bootcamp, Box Fit to Yoga and Gentle Walk and many more. Here at Active Within we believe there is a need to target and contribute to Active People agendas, by removing the significant barriers to sport and physical activity participation culminating in healthier communities. The barriers Active Within targets are financial, Social and Accessibility. Our mission is to ‘ENHANCE THE LIFE CHANCES OF PEOPLE IN WOOLWICH COMMON THROUGH BETTER INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE HEALTH AND WELLBEING' to by providing free accessible exercise to enhance health and wellbeing within the community.
Steps to get it done
- To have 60 registered participants by week 2.
- 100 registered users my end of first month
- 200 new users every quarterly
Active Within identify and inspire an individual (Community Coach) from community to gain the relevant qualifications in order to take over the delivery of classes. Active Within will provide funding for the interested parties in return for hours of delivery within the community.
