The idea
Old play equipment in the grounds has had to be removed due to it coming to the end of its life, and the PTFA is raising funds to provide a new all weather outdoor area for the Children of Hythe, and beyond, to learn vital communication skills through play.
The project includes a minimum 6 new pieces of play equipment that will promote imaginative play and communication skills of children.
The specialist resource provision in the school consists of two dedicated classrooms for children from across South Kent with speech, language and communication needs, places are allocated by the Local Education Authority SEN Panel. This new equipment will empower these children through imaginative and sensory play to integrate with their peers, assisting with enhancing their communication skills across age groups.
Hythe Bay is home to a primary school, 2 nurseries, a youth club facility, breakfast and after school clubs and a children's centre, all of which will have access to the equipment.
