We are a 100% vegan street food vendor who specialises in vegan fried 'chickhun'. We currently operate from a private address in our purposely built kitchen in South Leicester, where we prepare and cook our food for events across the UK, as well as run a food delivery service in Leicester at the weekends which has been highly successful. Due to the high demand, we are pitching for funding which will enable us to secure a premises for a pop-up restaurant with a maximum lease of six months, in Leicester city centre. A pop-up restaurant will allow us to not only extend our opening hours, but also cater to new audiences and reach a wider platform including those who are outside of our current delivery range, as the location of the city centre will enable us to advertise our service on sites such as Deliveroo. We are hopeful that this opportunity this can lead to a permanent premises in the heart of Leicester city centre.

What we'll deliver:

  • Open a pop-up restaurant in the city centre for a maximum of six months

Why it's a great idea:

There is a huge gap in the market in Leicester's vegan street food scene. Through our food delivery service, which has been fully booked every weekend since our launch in November, we have found that there is high demand for a vegan "junk" food establishment in the city centre which is accessible to everyone. Recent statistics suggest that veganism within the UK has risen by 700% in the last two years alone. With Leicester having such a large vegan and vegetarian community, which we are proud to be part of, having our food easily accessible within the city centre enhances non-meat eaters choice of food. Also, it would expose veganism to the general public as when we have traded at previous events in Leicester, we have had fantastic feedback from meat eaters who love our food and cannot believe it is vegan!

Steps to get it done:

  • Finding the perfect property for our pop-up restaurant

We are offering discounts on our food delivery service to all of those who donate! Discounts for investors will be promoted throughout our Social Media.
