The idea
We are very excited to offer practical hands-on workshops for young people after school hours or weekends and to local communities on the weekends. Most will be based in Globe and Bangabandhu primary schools.
This project will launch the very first hub base to allow local communities to come together to learn and practice the hands-on skills of the 6Rs of sustainability. All workshops will be delivered by amazing and experienced eco conscious professionals and practitioners.

Why it's a great idea
This project, which has been inspired by conversations with school teachers, young people and eco-conscious adults, will bring the local communities together to become more proactive in sustainable living.
Not only will young people gain skills, but they will also become part of the circular economy where they will meet wonderful, inspiring professionals and practitioners through the workshops.
This is also a great opportunity to introduce local artists and organisations who offer amazing skills and services.
The circular way is to pass on knowledge learnt to others, creating a ripple effect to form a movement towards 100% sustainable world, where the young people become engineers or other professionals to innovate materials and designs so that 100% of manufactured goods will be reused or recycled without any waste or pollution.
This is a small step to a bigger dream, and we all have to begin with the very first step with help of other like minded people like you.

OFSTED registered Bethnal Green After School Club is a not for profit organisation based in Globe and Bangabandu primary schools and offer quality childcare for children aged 3-11 from 3-6pm during the term time since 2014. We pick children up from Bonner Bethnal Green, Globe, Bangabandhu, St Johns, John Scarr, Hague primary schools and Rachel Keeling.
We stopped buying single use plastic eco craft materials and started using more sustainable and natural materials such as recyclable materials and things we find in parks and forest. It has been successful and we would like to move steps further to offer more quality and valuable workshops if this funding is successful.
Our aim is to built strong partnerships with other local organisations and businesses who promote sustainability and circular economy.
