The idea
Millfields Park is in Clapton, Hackney and a well loved green space surrounded by dense housing. There are several housing estates where families live, often without outside space in over crowded conditions. When doing outreach we have met families, new to the area, who don't know where their local green space is.
Our outreach makes sure that all families know what local support and facilities are available. Our Playbus sessions are a fantastic place for families to meet and share experiences and advice.
Please help us keep these sessions going through Spring 2013. With your help to keep going we will have more time to secure funding so we can get more families out in the park, prevent isolation and have fun!
What we'll deliver
- We will carry out a 2 hour door to door outreach session in the surrounding area
- Bring our Playbus to Millfields Park, Hackney for weekly 2 hour play sessions for 5 weeks
Why it's a great idea
Raising this money is about keeping a well loved and well used, unique local resource running. We know that with the funding for Playbus sessions in Millfields Park we will be able to reach literally hundreds of families in Hackney, some who know and love these sessions already and others who we are yet to meet.
With your help to keep these sessions running this will buy us more time to look for future funding opportunities to hopefully secure Playbus sessions in Millfields Park into the future. We are hoping that some of our families will run some sponsored events to help raise the money but we could do with all the support we can get.
Please get involved and get Hackney's children out in the park!
