The idea
Our cricket club has grown significantly, now with ten teams, including three girls' teams. To support this, we are undertaking three key projects:
Repairing the Artificial Net Facility: Used daily, our net facility has become uneven and unsafe. We aim to level the surface, remove plant growth, and restore the flooring for a safe, high-quality training space.
Installing Specialist Drainage: More teams mean more games, but poor drainage leaves areas unplayable in wet conditions. Improved drainage will expand playable space, allowing multiple matches without weather disruptions.
Purchasing Lightweight Covers: To protect pitches from rain, we need lightweight covers so volunteers can quickly safeguard playing areas.
These upgrades will improve safety, functionality, and capacity, ensuring the club’s continued growth and success.
What we'll deliver
- Repair one artificial net facility

- Purchase lightweight covers
Why it's a great idea
These improvements will enhance safety, accessibility, and playing opportunities for all players, from juniors to senior teams. Repairing the artificial net facility will create a smooth, high-quality training space, reducing injury risks and improving practice conditions. Installing specialist drainage will expand the playable area, allowing multiple matches to run without weather disruptions, benefiting all teams. Lightweight covers will protect pitches from rain, ensuring they remain in top condition and allowing quick responses to changing weather. These upgrades will support our growing club, improve player development, and strengthen long-term success for current and future members.
