The idea
We are still awaiting formal confirmation from the council that our event permit application has been approved. In the unlikely event that this does not get approved, this campaign will be stopped and all pledges will be refunded.
For 2021, we seek to bring our community together for a spiritually uplifting festival!
The Frodsham Christmas festival is a favourite on Frodsham’s yuletide calendar. A FREE event that engenders a sense of pride in the town & a sense of community.
The event is organised by volunteers. The organising committee consists of local members of the community, school contacts, local charities, students & local residents. The event is supported by Frodsham Town and Cheshire West & Chester councils, but the event is made possible through the support of volunteers, local businesses and community groups & craft makers who make this community event extra special.
The event boosts our local economy attracting a huge No. of visitors each year.

Why it's a great idea
The event engenders a sense of pride in the town as well as increasing a sense of community. Run 100% by volunteers and community groups.
The event bolsters the local economy attracting +7,000 visitors each year. Through a full day of entertainment we seek to increase dwell time and spending in the town. We also have events such as scavenger hunt running through the season to keep visitors returning.
Supports local community groups. The event brings together all of our community groups whether its scouts, Rotary and Roundtable groups supporting set up & marshalling, Frombles litter picking, or choirs, singers and performing art groups entertaining, the event provides the opportunity to fund raise and increase awareness.
Supports local artisan traders. For a small fee, traders can show case their wares.
Provides experience opportunities. We engage with local schools & colleges enabling students to gain on hands experience opportunities.
Steps to get it done
- Council Approval for the Event (Event Licence)
We have already crowd funded for the majority of the event. Further funding required for on the day entertainment which should ensure an increase in dwell time for the event.
