The idea
This project provides on-site counselling for children and young people at Kent Equine Facilitated Learning CIC (KEFL), targeting those struggling with school avoidance and anxiety. Led by experienced therapist Caroline Sharp, the sessions integrate traditional therapy methods with the calming presence of horses within KEFL’s safe and supportive environment. By addressing mental-health challenges early on, the initiative aims to make therapy accessible and effective for low-income families by eliminating costs and significantly reducing waiting times. With a focus on building trust and offering preventative care in a unique equine setting, the project encourages deeper therapeutic progress and supports young people’s emotional well-being, enhancing their ability to overcome obstacles and thrive.
