The idea
Our project would be health and well being activities for our clients at New Leaf Support, variety of activities which will include creating an outside space for the clients to use, to grow flowers and vegetables. We would also hold craft groups, a coffee mornings, building on the clients confidence and self esteem to be able to move on with their lives take back control of their lives. to be able to move on to volunteering, college or back into work.
The clients have suggest that this is something they would like a community place to come and talk to they peer who understand the effects of Domestic Abuse.

Why it's a great idea
Domestic Abuse Support sadly continues to be an issue in the Swale area. Due to the increased cost of living it is putting up further barriers for those affected by Domestic Abuse, there is a struggle with employment, having no money makes it harder to leave, more arguments over finances issues, families continue to suffer, a family unit this also includes the children in the family. New Leaf support all clients effected by Domestic Abuse regardless of their gender.
A group worker and volunteers will support follow on groups, once they have attended Phoenix and understand the impact Domestic Abuse has had on them, they can re build confidence and self-esteem by attending groups, gardening, crafts with the peer support of others.
