From everyone at the Bow Foodbank- from the lovely families we support and from our amazing volunteers, we want to say how wonderful it has been to witness the help and goodwill you have given to us. The financial support is amazing, but added to this is the generosity of spirit that each of you have shown in helping us to bring some relief in this difficult time to individuals and families in our community who are really struggling. In normal times we see around 80/90 clients each week (they are welcome to come fortnightly for 15 visits) but we have relaxed all of this and are helping everyone who comes. Last week and this week we had over 260 at the foodbank session (suitably distanced) , and a further 60/70 are being delivered to at home. Without the help you have given us, and the food deliveries we are able to get through the efforts of Tower Hamlets Council-we would not be able to do this.
