The idea

The Blooming Ballymun Community Garden is a transformative green space, deeply rooted in the heart of Ballymun. Operating under the tagline "Blooming Ballymun: Digging Deep," it's more than just a garden; it's a vibrant hub for learning, well-being, and sustainable living.
This initiative will empower residents to grow diverse plants, including flowers, trees, and nutritious foods, boosting local food security. It will also serve as a living classroom, offering workshops on essential skills like composting, food waste reduction, and healthy cooking with fresh produce. We'll explore how plants enhance well-being, provide nutritional guidance, and share money-saving tips through gardening.
Our goal is to cultivate new skills, foster stronger community bonds, and deepen our understanding of sustainable practices. The Blooming Ballymun Community Garden will grow a healthier, more resilient Ballymun for all, transforming soil into a source of nourishment, knowledge, and connection.
