The idea

The project designed for OMA Bikes shop at Fulham Palace Road, aims to foster better cycling through graffiti art. The programme compromises a series of workshops targeted for Hammersmith and Fulham youth. We will offer 2 types of workshops, the first to learn how to use the spray paint and the second to foster autonomous and safer cycling. The workshops outcome will input feedback to create a mural for OMA Bikes's façade, embellishing the road and attracting new clients and street art fans. The main aim of the project is to enhance Better Cycling, to not only generate awareness of the positive impact of responsible cycling for the community wellbeing, but also to show how cycling reduces carbon emissions and sound pollutions of commuters. We would like to invite secondary school students with their parents to engage on the safer cycling workshops, so that Better Cycling also has a long term impact onwards reducing accidents.
