The idea
Beddington CC has a long history of serving the community since it's founding in 1863. However, it's survival is threatened by the suspension of cricket and use of the club. With no income, the club needs to generate finance in order to maintain the ground and pavilion.
Any support members and the public can provide during this time would be a great help and would ensure that we can pay our bills and reopen as soon as is safe. We want to ensure there is a place for the whole community to come together to play and enjoy cricket. It will be more important than ever once this is all over!
What we'll deliver
- Help pay for critical overheads during COVID crisis
- Cover ground maintenance and key running costs
- The continuation of the club for sport and social activity
Why it's a great idea
The continued provision of cricket for both juniors and adults in the local community. This social hub provides both mental and physical health benefits for its members.
Steps to get it done
- Run crowdfunding campaign to collect funds
- Pay for essential overheads
- Start planning for the end of the lock down
- The continued provision of cricket being played at the club
