The idea
We are very concerned that the majority of those that we engage with are now fully isolated, feeling apprehensive and in need of support during this difficult time. We have looked at interventions that we can still undertake to help the all generations in this time of crisis.
We will distribute weekly activity packs with practical things they can continue to do within the home to stay healthy and active. We will include mini home games, yoga cards, play do /arts and crafts /weekly quizzes and much more to keep everyones spirts up and limit the detrimental affect this time will have on indivduals physical and mental well-being. In addition we will also be providing a befriending service offering indivduals and or families coffee and chat time slots with the 3 Active Family NE directors all of whom have the skills, experience and ability to undertake this role. During and after these conversations we will sign post to other local support services available.

- Im excess of 100 phone call check ins with those in need
Why it's a great idea
This project will contribute to improving indivduls and families that are currently struggling with the physical and mental well-being. We appreciate just how difficult it can be both finacially and mentally having to stay withn the cofines of your own home and this project will help allievate some of the stresses currently being expreienced.
Working within areas of multiple depriavation we were fully aware of the issues faced by young people, famileis and older people living in poverty and leading chaiotc lifestyles. We belive the support and resources that this project will enable us to provide could be the difference between someone facing a crisis or just amount managing through this difficult time.
