The idea
The COVID-19 lockdown has had a big impact on Rolvenden Cricket Club. We have suffered a huge loss of income due to reduced sponsorships and no match-day subs.
Despite this, we still have bills to pay including insurance and over £1000 a year on pitch maintenance and repairs/maintenance to machinery.
To be able to continue to provide cricket for the local community we need your help to meet some of these costs. Money that you donate will be matched by the England & Wales Cricket Board so please give generously! We hope to see cricket back at Rolvenden Cricket Club soon.
We appreciate that not everyone associated with the club will be able to contribute but any help will be much appreciated in keeping the club afloat during this difficult time for everyone.
What we'll deliver
- A cricket pitch and outfield ready for play once lockdown is lifted
- Cricket to the commnity of the Rolvenden Village
Why it's a great idea
As the cricket season has yet to get underway and all our fundraisers are currently cancelled, we have no income, but we still have to pay the bills!
The benefits of this project will allow us to maintain the pitch and facilities so that we are ready to play once it is safe to do so. It will allow us to provide regular cricket to locals in the community with the running of two teams. By being able to provide cricket using the facilities we can help our player's physical and mental health.
