The idea
Our current project is to create a sensory input session for children with disabilities or additional needs in a hired space in the local community. The session requires mobile sensory equipment such as spinning equipment, climbing equipment, specialist chairs and more, that can help regulate a disabled child’s body for them to feel content. This especially will help children after a busy day in school, and prior to their wind down time at home for tea and bedtime. This sensory input session can help local families with disabilities who are unable to self fund this equipment or may not have the space in their home.
Through funding and sustainable income generation, our long term aim is to occupy our own building where we can build a soft play, as well as our sensory equipment, to allow children with disabilities to play and self-regulate. We will host education sessions and workshops for parents/carers and create an accessible, safe and non-judgemental space.
