This project is designed to educate and enable real time practice with supporting mental and emotional wellbeing specifically for veterans of the armed forces.

The idea

Train volunteers and stakeholders in supporting veterans with their emotional, physical and emotional health to enhance their quality of life for more of the time.
Work with veterans on developing a supportive community through a variety of mediums online, offline, face to face and social events with the wider Walsall community.
Make recovery active and sustainable.
Facilitate meaningful activities that encourage social interaction, sharing experiences/skills and building connections.
Cover skills and techniques with stakeholders to ensure their safety when working with emotional labour.

What we'll deliver

  • 12 supervised activities for veterans
  • design and deliver 8 sessions for volunteers/stakeholders
