The idea
The "Singing For Seniors" project by The Red Rosettes aims to spread joy and connection through music in Lancashire care homes. This all-female barbershop chorus, comprising over 60 women with a vibrant age range of 70 years, excels in four-part harmony without accompaniment, making it perfect for intimate spaces. With accolades such as Lancashire Choir of the Year 2024 and top placements in major competitions, their performances bring top-tier quality and warmth to audiences. Community members can nominate care homes, and funds raised will allow the choir to brighten the lives of residents and their families, fostering inter-generational bonds. Rising costs have impacted budgets, but this initiative ensures that the transformative power of music endures, enriching both care home residents and the wider Lancashire community. The project highlights the importance of shared joy, care, and artistic excellence.
