The facility will be professionally built ‘pump track’, (basically a scaled down BMX track) that’s designed for having fun and learning new skills, rather than racing.

The proposed project is to build and operate a BMX pump track in an existing playing field in the village of Wroughton, Wiltshire. As there isn’t a BMX facility within a 20 mile radius of Wroughton, the Parish Council have agreed to let us build a community track as part of the local redevelopment. This will compliment the existing play park and football pitches to create an excellent free, outdoor space for families to make use of.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The proposed development will benefit the whole community by helping people to keep or become more active. The facility will be designed to suitable for all ages who can ride a bike. According to survey we conducted it would be used by people from under 3 to 55+. It is also hoped the wider community will benefit from reduced problems with anti-social behaviour since the facility will provide a focus for young people to learn new skills, meet with friends and engage in positive activities. The community has been asked to complete a survey to assess the need and desire for such a facility. In order to allow the maximum cross section of the community to have their say the survey was promoted via a large number of channels including social media, local newspapers, Wroughton parish magazine and direct communications to all parents and pupils at local schools. The survey yielded approximately 270 responses of which 96% were in favour.
