All our courses are taught by the industrys professionals in classes no larger than 12 students thus being able to give all students real one on one time and focusing on perfecting their skills and knowledge. All courses come with an additional 18 weeks work experience on non college days with real paying clients so students already have the required work experience after graduating should they want to start working elsewhere. Many students at our academy have previously studied at colleges where they felt they were not able to have enough time in class to have help from tutors in either their theory knowledge or their practical skills. We make sure all learners are nurtured and monitored to help overcome any weakness's as well as help develop them with more practice out of class on salon days. There is a huge gap in the market for women only academies, a lot of women and young learners who prefer a 6th form environment compared to a college feel more comfortable and happier here.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
In the UK there are a number of womens only highschool but not any colleges or 6th forms that offer the courses that we do. A large problem with students is after college and university unemployment is a real issue this is due to not having enough commercial experience. Female students need a place to continue their education after highschool in a womens only environment. This currently isn't offered anywhere in the UK, we are the first to offer this and have been priding there courses for the last year, as word has spread our student list has grown however we do not have enough space to hold more classes as we are also a salon on non academy days. We also offer level 4 courses for students who want to go on to teaching and become a lecturer in their field, to gain a PTTLS or Assessors qualification there is only on institution located out of London we would be the first in our area to offer these to help all women from difference age groups and ethnic minorities to gain this.
Steps to get it done:
The founder for the Salon & academy Mary Al-khudri is a revert who noticed a gap in market as there were no women only salons, 10 years ago she set up her salon and employed other women within the community who were having the same issue and built up her business from there, her Salon grew into a Salon and spa she now as of 2016 has introduced Hair and beauty courses and opened her academy with vtct, classes are held twice a week thus meaning her salon is to be closed on the days there are class, with your help Mary would like to open a separate academy so she is able to hold classes daily which would result in more students being able to join our academy.
