The project is to be a pop-up structure made using locally sourced materials and as much of this to be up/re-cycled its main aim is to empower the community of Tottenham by raising awareness of the good that the following charities: Innovative Vision Organisation, Living Under One Sun as well as Migrants Resource Centre, all based in Tottenham Hale do.

What we'll deliver:

  • Creating a demountable mobile pavilion
  • Advertises volunteering/employment opportunities in the area
  • Raises awareness of the community and ecotherapy allotments of land
  • A platform for local artists to perform
  • A branch of Café Connect to operate on this pavilion that sells produce grown and made from its allotments
  • A platform for refugees that reside in your local community to tell their stories.

Why it's a great idea:

This is led by an architect student that is a local resident to Tottenham that has observed the changes happening in Tottenham and wants to ensure that community led projects remain relevant. Living Under One Sun helps many vulnerable people by having free courses and gardening workshops that serve as eco therapy. Migrants Resource Centre in Tottenham helps asylum seekers through the process as well as legal advice. Innovative Vision Organisation empowers and inspires members of the youth to achieve their goals and encouraging dance as a form of expression. This project seeks to empower the community and bring awareness of current proposed changes to the local community and encouraging dialogue.

Steps to get it done:

  • Planting the beds
  • Sowing the seeds
  • Digging the bed
  • Providing compost bins for waste food
