Regenerate, revitalise and renew

Wishaw Cricket Club By Wishaw Cricket Club

Regenerate, revitalise and renew the Wishaw Cricket Club pavillion. Devastated by the February 2020 storms, we aim to restore the clubhouse and survive and thrive for future generations of cricketers.

This project was funded on 30 Jun 2020!

Every part of the Wishaw clubhouse was damaged as a result of successive storms blowing the roof off with tghe resulting floods destroying the bar, kitchen and changing rooms. As if this was not bad enough we were plunged into pandemic lockdown with no means of generating income to set us on the way to rise again from the devastation. With hard work, tenacity and dedication of members we have begun the transformation of the soaking wreck that we found in February but we need your help to keep us on track and help us to realise our goal. Carpets, kitchen and equipment need replacing; plastering, electrics, and redecoration will need to be undertaken to bring the clubhouse back to life. All this requires hardwork and funds and at a time when the club cannot generate income.

What we'll deliver:

  • A new clubhouse facility
  • A new kitchen
  • Renovated showers
  • Decoration inside and out
  • All new electrics, heating and flooring

Why it's a great idea:

With three Saturday Warwickshire League teams, a Sunday team and Youth teams across all age ranges Wishaw is a vital part of the local community. Helping us to regenerate the clubhouse that is the physical heart of the club will enable us to thrive both now and well into the future.

Steps to get it done:

  • New kitchen
  • Redecoration
  • Functioning bar and clubhouse
