The U18s Project will provide a safe and secure venue for weekly activities and socialising. Activities will be based on U18s feed-back to the taster sessions we have hosted earlier in the year: BE A DJ - with a professional sound system and tutor. GAME-TIME - with Console-programming and tutor. SEE ME -video filming-editing unit with tutor. BE ACTIVE - with Personal Training Programme and tutor. Plus a monthly DISCO with professional DJs-MCs. Also on hand: support from Social Services-Youth Service-Employment Advisers. Overall the project will be driven by the young people with guidance as required.

What we'll deliver:

• Purchase professional quality equipment for exclusive use of U18s Project.
• Provide weekly support for employment and mental health
• Deliver an exciting exercise programme to encourage healthy eating-living.

Why it's a great idea:

Currently there is NO PROVISION for U18s in Winsford. We are confident the project will have a positive impact on this age group which will in turn benefit the community through positive perceptions and behavior. U18s will be encouraged to seek employment opportunities and be involved in the overal running of the project, boosting confidence and experience.

The project is actively seeking additional funding support via other organisations ie Cheshire Police. Cheshire Youth Service. Active Cheshire. The U18s Project is considered a `kick-start` leading to more provision and support for this age group in Winsford.
