Bringing people together behind good ideas that communities want to see happen!
Pond dipping is a fun and simple way for everyone to explore an aquatic habitat. It allows everyone to be able to observe a diversity of different creatures from leeches to dragonfly nymphs. To be able to offer this to the community we need to develop the area. Improvements would include building decking, putting up safety rails, making walk paths for accessibility and putting in benches. We would also like to develop the landscape around the pond. Pond dipping is a useful tool in delivering the science primary curriculum section on life process and living things, the pond could be used by local schools and services that provide education. Sexdo community payback scheme attend our farm weekly, they could be involved in developing the area and maintaining it. For the people to get involved in the activity we need supplies including nets, trays, spoons, magnifying glass's, ID sheets or pond guides and supplies to record what people find.
