I have started a project in our local park, we desperately need help to encourage british wildlife back into our area and a play area with disabled access. Queen Victoria opened the park.

We have been up and running now since June 2016, I've raised money for a disabled picnic bench and ordinary picnic tables. We have cleared the park of litter and have put in for an application for raised flower beds so it's easy access for elderly or disabled people. Have planted over 400 flower bulbs! Our paths need repairs in particular places as they are dangerous. Play equipment for the children, we really need to encourage wildlife into our area. ....bird boxes, bat boxes and .hopefully a wildlife garden.... bug houses which I would like materials so the scouts can make them and earn their badges... we have never had anything done in our park so I'm desperate to bring this park up to I most pleasant place for everyone. It would be great to get new benches around the park, perhaps even plant more trees, bird boxes, bat boxes and boxes for owls . I have a lot of people willing to help to get this in place but it's not having the money .
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It's a great idea as our park is large and we have a lot of local people to support us and help maintain it all. We have a cafe opened in the park so if people could look out onto a beautiful park teeming with life, colourful, more child and animal friendly. The paths would be safer and easier for pram and wheelchair proof/ access. I've even thought about having a section for bees.
Steps to get it done:
I really hope you can help our group with our project. We need life back into our dreary park....we need to encourage something to be proud of.we once had a bandstand how marvellous would it be to have that back, a lot was taken during the war because they needed the metal. Our aim is to also reinstate that aswell.... we could then have local bands that can come and sing and help us raise money for the future.
