Our community Coop will run a library with a social enterprise attached creating a social, cultural and educational space We hope t improve the Parade to allow a weekly market to exist to. We hope to Create a Market area too. We wish to encourage local people to shop and visit the local parade. The hope to use one of the local shops making it totally accessible and welcoming to all and provide a meeting place and healthy eating place for the local community to share as well as providing natural and environmental aspects of the plaza for performing and creative talents of local people.

What we'll deliver:

• better street furniture,
• electronic notice board.
• better shop fronts
• have a library
• improve the seating,
• planting

Why it's a great idea:

70% use library service Most go to Brixton
80% would like a library service in Tulse Hill. The things residents would like from a library in this area are a hub for study, reading, info online, help, ICT facilities, books, printing, somewhere to pick up and drop of books borrowed , a mobile library, silent study space, community centre, reading clubs, warm place to sit, information on local services, WiFi access, noticeboard, space for children, children’s books, adult education, internet, newspapers and magazines, activities for children and older people, homework help, somewhere quiet to read and meet people . The main place suggested Was Tulse Hill Junction With Upper Tulse Hill.Seven people would be interested in joining a steering group to try to set up a library.
