We want to purchase an e-trike taxi to use as a means of sustainable transport, to make short journeys around Evesham eco-friendly, carbon neutral and fun.
We want to use the trike as a taxi or private hire vehicle as a means of intergenerational work with local care homes, community centres with the ability to pick up food or prescriptions, using a bank of locally trained volunteers with opportunities for young people to become drivers.
The trike will also be available to hire to other groups to use as part of their own sustainable transport projects, and community events.

Why it's a great idea:
The project will reduce carbon emissions and congestion, support people into employment, build community capacity and have health benefits:
There will bring health and wellbeing benefits for taxi drivers and their passengers through increased physical activity and by reducing the social isolation of elderly people.
There will be increased connectivity through improved access to services and removing the equivalent car and van journeys from the roads. This will remove carbon emissions and reduce congestion by using cycle routes.
The project will connect to other forms of transport by including connecting to train stations in the district increasing the opportunities for sustainable tourism.
The project will provide training opportunities for young people who need a little extra help to build their skills and self-confidence to support them into future employment.
