We currently support hundreds of families in Havering and the wider area with day to day essentials. These families have been referred by Social services, welfair officers, front line professional or are living in one of the 28 hostels we support.
With children returning back to school in September and many more families in financial hardship due to the covid pandemic, we will be hosting a FREE school uniform shop with new and preloved uniform from all the local schools. This will be held in our Hub in Romford, therefore we do not need to source a new site to host this.
We need additional funds to purchases items we struggle to stock as well as more stationary and education supplies for the clients who come to our hub
What we'll deliver:
- 20 Full uniform
- 100 rucksacks
- 100 stationary sets
- 20 laptops/tablets
Why it's a great idea:
No child should miss school due to not having the correct fitting or style of uniform. One of the main reason of bullying in school is not fitting in due to not having the same basic uniform and supplies.
We aim to reduce social isolation, increase mental wellbeing and improve school attendance by providing everything they require to start school in the new term without putting financial pressure on the parents/carers.

- Buying uniform we don't have in stock
- Recruiting new volunteers
- welcoming first 20 families
- welcoming first 50 families
We will be needed more volunteers to help host the appeal as well as improving the wellbeing of vulnerable families
