Without the Arts life would be much less enjoyable! A series of arts & wellbeing workshops for young people and their families in Redbridge across winter to bringing joy & boosting our neighbourhood.

Welcome to “Together We can Create” is an inspiring project aimed to get young people, girls, women & their families involved in arts, creativity, & wellbeing. This program provides opportunities for participants to learn, engage, embrace arts & showcasing their talents infusing with fun & fostering strong bonds among communities of varying cultural backgrounds, ultimately promoting joy & unity. Working with & bringing in Dancers, Musicians, Painters, & life coaches from local organisations we are aiming to provide a valuable learning opportunity through series of workshops, allowing them to explore skills in various creative disciplines such as painting, dance, arts & crafts. music and yoga. The three months of dedicated workshops will be celebrated with a Grand Talent Show in spring 2024 at a selected venue in Redbridge. The event will serve as a platform showcasing the newfound talents of the participants to a wider audience and celebrate their participation and passion.

What we'll deliver:

  • • Programme and deliver one hour of 8 weekly sessions on Dance, Painting, Craft, Music, Yoga & wellbeing
  • • Provide learning opportunities and pathways.
  • • Provide 12 volunteering opportunities for 24 people.
  • • Organising talent show to show case new found talents of participants.
  • • Liaise with local groups & organizations, e.g. schools, clubs, places of worships to promote welcoming participation.

Why it's a great idea:

"Together We Can Create", will definitely benefit and play a vital part in young participants' creativity along with their wellbeing and offer an alternative avenue to express their talents to friends and family. This wonderful initiative will help them to inspire many more in Redbridge to connect to their creativity. Also, We firmly believe that our project embodies the essence of "Bringing Joy" by uniting diverse communities through creative expressions like dance, music, and arts and crafts. Additionally, we are excited to introduce a novel approach by encouraging young women and girls to embrace a healthy lifestyle through yoga, expanding our engagement with these groups. This will provide a wider participation and access to Arts & Culture activities from communities which may be experiencing limited access to enriching activities at local level.

Steps to get it done:

  • Hosting a talent show at end of the programme
  • The number of workshops - 32 sessions to be delivered
  • Number of volunteers engaged is 24
  • Number of participants 150

* Will benefit young people and families having opportunities to express through Art, also involved in all aspects from participation, having fun, making friends, learning new skills and performing. * Young people have a space to develop their interest, talents and upskilling their passion. * Making Art inclusive to all. * Giving confidence to young people to participate in Arts. * Giving local residents the skills to tackle anxiety through Arts. * Organisations & Artists working with young people will also benefit promoting what they deliver and the impact they have on young people’s life. * Having a Talent Show at the completion of the programme will add value to the good work delivered through the events and continue inspire the young people forge a lifelong passion for Arts and serve the communities through Arts in the future. We fervently believe, Together We can Create embodies the essence of bringing joy and uniting diverse communities through creative expressions.
