We are a training organisation that trains individuals in health and social care, maths and English, child care and supports cv writing etc...Our aims are to help individuals build confidence, help those with a past that is holding them back to build a future and bring the community together.
Although we are an organisation i am a single mum who wants to make the world a better place ...i want to help people who have had bad experiences in their past move forward and give people oppotunities to learn and get back in to work so that the past doesnt divine them. I want my children to see the impact of hard work and to know that although bad things can happen they should never define you.
if awarded the grant i will use it to train people in barnet in various skills and they will gain recoqnised certificates and i will try to once qualified help them find work and possibly offer them work in the company.
Other funding options limit individuals for instance sometimes if they can receive funding depends on their age or their sex or what skills they already have...if given this funding the only thing i would make a requirement is that they are living in Barnet.
The courses i offer will meet all individuals whether unemployed or who have a history of drugs or have been to prison, this will help them move forward bulld their skills but also build their confidence and also i will be able to provide them character references and some work references. Also they will meet people learn about other peoples lives and acheive goals. It will also be open to people who havent been able to gain skills and qualifications for reasons such as they have been carers or suffered depression - each programe will be developed to individual needs and experiences and future aspirations.
