Thrive Cheshire supports people living with chronic pain and their carers. We provide mental health first aid, a social meet up with like minded people, chair based exercise and holistic therapy as well as art and craft and mindfulness activities. We provide advice information and support. We would like funding to offer our programme to the Cheshire East area and rural areas within including Nantwich.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
A much needed support system for adults living with chronic pain who are isolated socially due to limited mobility, the pandemic and pain levels. We started our group with 14 members in March 20 and now have over 200 members a year later. This shows there is a need for this type of support. Most of these people have lost contact with ex work colleagues friends and family and have been shielding during lockdown and are anxious about returning to social activities. They need a place where others understand the complexities of chronic pain and the fatigue, pain, lack of mobility and mental health issues that go with it. They need support to access activities to improve both their physical and mental wellbeing and this is what we offer.
