90 MainYard provides a home that nurtures local community. With it’s unique viewpoint over East London’s evolving skyline, the 4500 Sqft rooftop at 90 MainYard is the ideal spot to retreat to, overlooking the urban commotion from a hearty homegrown sanctuary.

The roof will enable a range of community-led activities such as creative and holistic workshops as well as gardening and appreciation of all things grown. It will serve a selection of tasty home-cooked pickings and refreshing drinks.
The space will also lend itself as the perfect host to the vast range of musicians using the recording studios below. It is a flexible and multi-faceted space, allowing for all to take part in bringing it to fruition.
With a bit of friendly watering the roof can become the flower at the top of an ever-growing innovation centre at 90 MainYard. A place wholly focused on the idea that a strong community leads to innovation.

Why it's a great idea:
Hackney Wick has an ever growing, diverse community, combined with an exciting, evolving urban landscape just on the doorstep of the Olympic Park. However this dynamic area isn’t particularly well catered for in terms of it’s community provision. We aim to create a home away from home for everybody in Hackney Wick and beyond.
As long time residents of Hackney Wick ourselves, we really want to be a part of the areas cultural and creative growth. We are a three regular people with a passionate dream of contributing to the community and shifting the perspective of inclusion, development and creativity. We are hoping to create a buzzing innovation centre in Hackney Wick, with the roof garden a unique space for community to flourish
The roof top garden is a perfect space where people can play, eat, drink and hire for private events. There will also be some exciting happenings showcasing projects happening in the rest of building in the co-working space and recording studios.
Steps to get it done:
The programme a range of exciting community-focused workshops & events will include creative opportunities such as kite making, well-being sessions such as meditation and growing and gardening clubs to get everyone a bit more green-fingered.

I'm Tori and together with my partners Remi and Bruno, 'the dynamic trio' (i just made that nick name up) we are creating an Innovation Centre in Hackney Wick. What's this? I hear you ask...
Well basically, it's a really, really big building, 90 MainYard that we are refurbishing to house a coworking office, music studios, photography studio, cafe/bar and event space part of which will be on a huge and amazing roof top terrace with views over the Olympic Park.
The idea and motivating force of 90 MainYard is to foster creativity and community. A place that people feel at home in and inspired by.
We are doing most of the work ourselves and paying for it all ourselves and could do with some help so we can transform the 4500sqft rooftop into another entity of the building where people can relax and enjoy in time for our amazing London summer(!).
You could be sipping a coffee in the sun surrounded by a the foliage of a roof top zenotopia, sampling a snack made with produce grown on the rooftop garden or jumping around, waving your hands in the air like you just don't care at one of the many events we plan to host there.
You could also have it all to yourself for your own private event. We'll even help plan and run it for you...we're good at that... and we're also very nice :)
