We want to deliver interactive, hands on workshops all over CWAC that give children the opportunity to learn about healthy foods and how they can positively impact their long term health through food. We will provide a whole host of rainbow foods (over 30!) for each child to craft and create with. Each workshop will have a theme and the children will be able to create their own piece of edible art. We will play games, create challenges to help inspire the children to be more adventurous in their food choices. It’s huge amounts of fun. The kids always feedback that it was “THE BEST DAY EVER!!”

Our workshops see 90% of children trying 20-30 plant based foods that are vital for health and well being. Children experience a vast range of foods that they often wouldn’t get the opportunity to try. They engage in creative play, chopping, sculpting and making their own piece of edible art that they then get to eat. We teach them all about gut health and the impact that eating a diverse range of foods will make to their long term health. The benefits to the children are huge! Positively impacting their food choices will help with obesity, diabetes, dental health to name a few. Parents often can’t believe that their child has been so adventurous and report that they make better food choices after the workshops.

VolunteerEducating children about health and nutrition is our absolute passion. We both have backgrounds in Art, having completed Fine Art degrees. We understand the importance of eating well and the benefits of being creative!
For the past 8 years we have been delivering workshops in schools and we have developed a very successful, totally unique and super fun way to get even the fussiest of eaters to try new foods.
It's no secret that childrens eating habits lead a lot to be desired. Most children are not eating a diverse range of fruits, veggies, grains, pulses; which are all vital for gut health and the immune system
We want to reach as many children as possible with our workshops. The earlier we intervene and deliver positive food experiences, the more likely these children are go to on to eat a more varied diet throughout their lives.
