We will launch these at Christmas bringing festive cheer to people across the capital.
Working with some of London’s best food truck cooks, we’re setting out to create the next big thing in mobile food. As well as feeding those in need, it will enable rough sleepers to earn a living while serving up delicious treats in the heart of London.
Homelessness is on the rise and The Connection is already doing many things to help people get back on our feet. The opportunities we create will help teach people a range of skills through a venture that we hope will get people off the streets and back on their feet.
So, instead of giving a homeless person a few coins as you pass, why not buy an all-organic Cumberland hotdog or a cup of piping hot soup and help them to earn their way off the streets?
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It’s easy to forget how many Londoners are living out on the street when we’re at home in our beds. Our project could offer them an income that could put them permanently back on their feet. More importantly, as well as offering great food it will teach people business and numeracy skills, and help build confidence and communications abilities.
